Many may already know this but this is the latest update. Rasta Bare AKA Louie was recently diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. According to his report the cancer has taken up residence in his jaw. Louie had been going through many testing sessions and treatment prep sessions in the past weeks to reach a diagnosis and find out what the course of treatment will be for him. He is in good spirits and has a positive attitude in his favor along with a great medical team. This along with our support and our good wishes and good vibes he will be back partying with us at the end of his once every three week treatment for six months. Treatments will begin around the 23rd of July. Maybe if all goes well, and the cancer is arrested they will cut back on a scheduled treatment. Good Luck, Louie! We will all be rooting for you! Bubbly Bares, be sure to let Louie know he has your support often since this challenge will be most difficult for our long time Bubbly Bare and dear friend.
Louie, in addition to being a veteran Bubbly Bare, has been in the forefront on many activities. He is an advocate of Hedonism II, The Hedo Reunion at Sandy Hook, he coined the phrase that has become the trade mark of the Gunnison Beach goers “The Sandy Hookers” and the list goes on and on.In spite of severe medical issues in the past he would show up at Gunnison at the crack of dawn and stake out real estate with his pylons and wind screen to assure space for the “group”. He took an active part in negotiating with Hedonism II for entertainment staff to come to the Hedo Reunions. He always shared the expense with me in providing Bloody Marys and Rum Punch weekly at Gunnison and at the Reunion.Louie has done all of these things out of the love of giving. Now Louie needs something,Although his spirit is high I know that he is going through a very difficult time so let’s pitch in and let him know that we care. Drop him an email at hedobeach1@aol.com or if you want to give him a call email me and I will provide you with his phone number.
