Sad news indeed, I learned today that Kathy Dion the wife of George Dion of the Fat Cats passed away in her sleep on 9/11 this last week. To my Bubbly Bare Friends,

My beloved wife and best friend, Kathy, died suddenly and peacefully in her sleep Friday night (9-11-09).  I realized she was dead, not sleeping in, at about 11:30am Saturday morning.  No illness, no warning.  We have been together nearly every day since June 21, 1976 and married for 32 years this November.  Kathy was 55 and is survived by myself, 3 children (Lisa, Eric, Amanda), and 4 grandchildren. 

It was Kathy’s wish that her remains be cremated and her ashes spread on the beach in Jamaica, her one true home.  And so it will be.  Trees will be planted in remembrance of Kathy at Eric Dion’s home in Milwaukee and at Hedonism II, Negril, JA.

A memorial gathering of family and friends is set for:

I could NOT do this alone.  The Owner of Los Globos, Adam Monreal, was one of Kathy’s insured and has kindly donated the use of the reception hall.  Kathy’s employer, Shirley Evans, is providing the snacks and refreshments.  Our very good friend Kim “HedoFrog” Anderson is providing keepsake programs for the memorial.  Kathy’s life-long friend Bill Paige has been kind enough to step-in and handle the obituary composition and placement.  Our long-time friends and rock ‘n roll buddies Tracy and Fred Starr have placed information and pictures regarding Kathy on six (6) of the web sites that they maintain.

Thank you all for being such a good friends.  Please feel free to notify our mutual friends, they are also invited.
