Farewell to summer. Nature blessed us with one more beach day yesterday Oct,4th. This might not mean very mucy to you Floridians or Californians or other warm country inhabitants but to us in the north east it was a bonus. What a beautiful day at Lighthouse Beach on Long Island with good people. Bloody Marys and Bagels w/cream cheese and lox, a smorgasbord of delights for lunch, Wine, Tequila, a variety of desserts and the list goes on and on. Did I mention pulled pork w/ mayonnaise/wasabi dressing? Tequila?Oh well, I think you get the message. Thanks to all who have made this weekend getaway such a pleasant happening throughout the summer of 2009. |

You forgot to mention the LI clam bake, minus the bake. Thanks to Doc our shucker extraordinaire, for the "imported" Little Necks!

We know, Bob. What kind of New Englanders are we bringing FL clams???? Next time they will be fresh from our shores. We promise. Thanks to all for your hospitality and for a great summer of fun which left us with great memories from Lighthouse Beach.

After the snow yesterday.....Doc quickly put up "Summer At Lighthouse" on Bare Buddies to help us keep warm with the fond memories of those hazy crazy days of Summer at the beach that just ended for us on October 3rd. Thanks, Doc, for not posting the "crazy" photos. There would have been a lot of blushing!
